New Years Eve was a great party! There was lots of good food, plenty of drink (maybe too much) and everyone had a good time.
So now it is 2007. This week is flying by - the children are home. They go back to school next week and we have been busying ourselves with returning the house back to normal - putting away the Christmas decorations, taking down the tree, returning gifts that don't fit, using up gift cards, playing some of the new board games that were received as presents and just taking the days as they come. That is not to say I don't have anything work related to do. I have tonnes! I just can't seem to get myself modivated to do it. I am kinda liking the lazy, no schedule, don't really have to get things done - just "Stay at Home Mom" feeling. But it is not going to last and I guess I am just trying to enjoy the moment while it is still here because come next week - no more "Stay at Home Mom". My hat will be changing and it will be back to the "Work at Home Mom" that I will be wearing. There are orders to fill, fabric and supplies to order and cutouts waiting to be sewn!
Let me just re-iterate that last little bit. In no way am I saying SHAMs are lazy with no schedule. I am the first to stand up and say: SHAM's are the hardest working people I know and I know because I am one and know a few. I just meant that being at home, you get to go by your own schedule (well, sometimes, but not really because if you are a SHAM that means you have little ones. If you have little ones you try to make and keep your own schedule but alot of the times it doesn't end up that way because it sometimes ends up that those little ones run your schedule, so you are really following their schedule...do you follow me?) and not someone elses so you can be as busy or not as busy as you like. Even though I said I was being lazy doesn't mean I wasn't doing anything. There is always plenty of things to do around here and I mean plenty. So hopefully, I didn't piss anyone off by saying the above and understand what I was trying to say, or should I just quit while I am ahead. I think I will just quit and move on because now I am just confusing myself and going on too long and I really feel like pressing the delete button and starting over, but I won't. Moving on...
While I was out and about this week I came across the most greatest find. A Magaschoni crochet cotton cardigan in olive green. That is not the best part. The best part is that it was $325.00 marked down to $129.00 marked down yes, can you believe it, marked down again to $42.00. What a steal! I can't wait to wear it. Their website doesn't have a picture of it, but I will try and post a picture of it soon.
Anyway, I think I have blabbed enough. One more day left of that holiday feeling and then back at it.
