Well, we got through the morning without a hitch. Everyone got up on time and got ready for school. Not the best day to start something new, the morning is gloomy with rain to follow. Sweetpea and Sunshine were excited about starting once it was time to go, but it wasn't always like that. It is hard to say goodbye to the lazy days of summer and get back into a routine, but I am sure after a few days they will be back in the swing of things and it will feel like they never left. When they arrived at school they were very excited to see all their friends that they hadn't seen over the summer. I am sure they will have lots of catching up to do. Sweetpea was very excited when she found out she got the teacher she wanted and her friends were finally back in her class. However, Sunshine - not so excited. She got the teacher she really didn't want, which is a split class and found out that all of her friends are in the other class. I felt so bad for her and can't understand these teachers/school when they are making up the classes, why not recognize that when they are making the class list up?! Well, I am sure she will adjust and eventually make new friends - and there is always recess when they can all meet up and play.
I am feeling abit lonely having no one here to keep me company. The undisturbed quiet - what will I do first? I have already vacuumed and put in a load of laundry. Now I can really get back into my sewing and not feel guilty that I am not with the girls. Well, I better get busy, lunch is only a couple short hours away!
