I've Got Sunshine...

.... on a cloudy day.

Here's another Sydney Handbag. Named - you guessed it... Sunshine! Gorgeous in yellow silk with a complimentary handcut, hand sewn flower, using the same yellow silk and a striped yellow with green, red and cream accents. The centre of the flower has a pearlized round button to finish it off.

Check'n In

I haven't been able to post for awhile. So much has been going on and I just haven't had time to post anything, but I thought I would check in quickly just to say hello and let you know I am still alive and kick'n... and busy sew, sew, sewing! Hopefully, when I get a longer minute (is that possible?!) I will be able to get caught up on some of the things that have been going on, but for now here is just a little eye candy to keep you going.

More Sydney Handbags! It has been an assembly line here making these fun little bags. I am really enjoying sitting here
on the floor (literally), going through all the fabric and picking out the fabric combinations and putting things together. It's great too that I am using up some of this fabric, no matter how small the dent.

I've also been making a stock pile of scarves in black, chocolate brown and y
ellow. These scarves are sooo buttery soft.

Delicious

At of course the last minute, Sweetpea came to me yesterday and asked if I could make sometime for her teacher.... shoulders drop, exhale out... "what did you have in mind?"

"A purse?"

"What kind of purse? How about a Sydney Handbag?" ( I was in the mindst of making one, so what was another :P )

"Yeah! She will love that!"

OK, I will do my best to get one done.

.
.. lucky teacher! Gorgeous, if I do say so myself. It was hard giving it up.

This is the one I was working on before I got asked to make the above.

The pink silk is really gorgeous.

Then after Sweetpea made her request, Sunshine of course chimmed in and asked "could you make my teacher a purse too, mommy?" Shoulders slump further and exhale a little more. I was going to try, but time just didn't permit so her teacher got a yummy Lavender Drawer Liner. Sunshine was happy.

I was Featured

I went on etsy a little while ago and found that my Sydney Handbag - Fushia Peony was featured on the front page in a treasury. I was so surprised and honoured that someone found my work and actually liked it enough to showcase it. Good timing too. I was feeling a bit hopeless with my shop there lately. This just brightened my day. I am only there til 8.07p.m. tonight, so please go take a look see before my time expires. I am in a group of wonderful peonies Thank you so much frommuddywater for featuring me. She makes some cool barretts out of light bright pegs.
