On a Mission

Yes, I have been on a mission and it's been for awhile now.  I have been trying to find a new lamp shade for a lamp that is getting a makeover (more on that later) and can't for the life of me find one anywhere!

I can't believe these are not an easy item to find.  I have been to the big box stores.  Nothing.  I have been to the home decor stores. Nothing.  Department stores. Nothing.  It's not like I am looking for anything out of the ordinary.  I just want a simple drum shade.

OK, when I say nothing I don't mean literally nothing.  Yes, they have some, but they are all the wrong shape or colour.  But it's not like I am asking for some odd, never seen before colour... I simply want a white shade.  Is that too much to ask?  Really?

Then I went to a lighting store.  I knew if all else failed a lighting store would have them.  Oh yeah, they had them alright.  If you wanted to leave your first born for one.

Focused

It's hard to stay focused on one thing when you have SOoooo many things to do at the same time. When you are a one-woman show you have to wear a lot of hats and sometimes it's not so easy. I wish sometimes my hands would move as fast as my thoughts, but unfortunately, they don't and you just have to do the best that you can.

I especially have a sickness with the computer.... I can't get off of it. If I am not checking out blogs, I am researching. If I am not researching, I'm working on it off line and sometimes on line. It takes up so much of my time. I really have to limit myself, but I tell ya... it's hard! We depend so much on them and they are always saying they are suppose to be a time saver and an end to so much paper.... what idiot said that!

Sometimes I wish I could wiggle my nose like Bewitched or node my head like I Dream of Genie or even split myself in two so that one could do the boring mundane stuff like laundry, vacuuming and accounting and the other me, could do the fun stuff like sewing, creating, being with my family, sewing, marketing.. did I mention sewing?

Anyway, I can't split myself in two nor can I wiggle my nose or nod my head magically... so I will just show you the many things I have been busy with over the last few days. (at least the things that I could take pictures of)
