Hellllloooooo!!! It's been awhile. Sorry my posts have been few and far between. I have been busy working on some exciting things that I can't wait to share with you, and soon you will see. But in the meantime, remember when you were in highschool there was always a more popular bunch.... the "in" crowd, as they say? That's how I feel today.
I had to pop over to the local fabric store today to check something out. I was also there a month or so ago and I was absolutely shocked to find a Michael Miller print fabric. I didn't get any, but I wanted to go back to find out if they were going to start carrying his fabric. When I talked to the manager today, she had a stunned look on her face and proceeded to say that "she had never heard of him or his fabric". Hhhhhh... the horror...(hand goes up to mouth) "you never heard of Michael Miller?? How ridiculous did this sound? Anyway, I proceeded to explain what and were I saw it and she directed me to a table that was drastically reduced and said that if it was anywhere it would be here. These are fabrics that we get in promotionally that the head office finds and is only one of's or discontinued. So I said thank you and started to dig through the pile. I could see right away that the Michael Miller print was not there but wanted to see what else I could find. There were some cute children's prints that I might go back for, but then I stumbled upon this... I couldn't believe what I was holding in my hands... Girlfriends "Nuala" by Jennifer Paganelli ~ SISBOOM for Free Spirit.... AND, I was in a Canadian store. I didn't have to order it over the net. I didn't have to cross-border shop. All I had to do was dig through the pile of reduced fabric at my local fabric store. I looked around to make sure no one saw my excitement over the unknown treasure I had just found. I put everything back neatly , hiding the good stuff and took my little treasure up to the front to pay. Unfortunately, there was only a small quantity left...only about 1 3/8 of a yard. I don't know what I am going to do with it ... there are so many things I could make , but with such a small amount it has to be something fantastic! So I will have to think about it for awhile or I may just leave it folded up and every so often open it up, look and feel it, because for anyone else that has not had the pleasure of owning or seeing this fabric in real life, let me tell you, it is wonderful to the sight and touch. Anyway, as I was walking out of the store feeling like I had struck gold, I started to feel like the "In" crowd. Seeing all this fabric over the net and seeing all the things being made by so many talents and me not having any. I wasn't left out anymore, because now I have this wonderful fabric too!

I'm sure whatever you make, it will be beautiful! I love stumbling upon bargains like that. I was at a hole- in-the-wall, dusty little fabric store a while back, on their remnant table they had the thickest, softest, chenille I've ever seen. It's usually $12.00/yd at JoAnn's and nowhere near the quality. It was 3.99/yd. I bought all they had!
