Things have been moving along here at a steady pace. I haven't been sewing as much, but that is because I have been waiting for a big supplies order and I finally got that today, so I hope to get back at it and get some things finished that have been waiting specifically for this order. In the meantime, I finally got myself over to the garden centre and picked up some plants. I planted almost everything last Friday. I was way overdue. I usually have everything done by the third week in May. This year I am not even close to being done, but at least I have the front of the house done and complete. I just have to tackle the rest of the backyard. Saturday, I finally worked on the veggie garden. Each year it gets smaller and smaller. It just takes so much time and energy.... time and energy I don't have to spend on a veggie garden, but I do enjoy it when it comes time to pick the veggies and I can say it came from our garden. There's always something nice about that... isn't there?! I am so late with this too. I don't even know if we are going to reap the rewards of any tomatoes or peppers this year, I got to it so late.

So I will leave you with some photos taken with my new camera.... I think they are awesome and I am having so much fun learning how to use it, but I am, by no means close to understanding it all. It is a little intimidating, this camera. There is so much to learn and know... and the lingo, it's a completely different language. I read the manual and then have to read it again and I am still not sure what it all means. Our local camera store offers a course on using this camera and I plan on taking it for sure. I want to be able to use it to it's full potential and I have always wanted to take great pictures so hopefully this will help. I will keep you up to date as to how that goes and I am sure you will be seeing a ton more pictures.
My anniversary roses... a week old and not looking so good, but they were beautiful when I first got them. Just didn't have a camera to take a picture :(
