I know I haven't been on here in awhile. I have been busy getting caught up on everything from orders to reorganizing my studio... and really, I haven't had much of anything interesting to say lately. By the looks of things, it doesn't look like anybody really missed me either.

At that moment I felt for her. She had practiced so hard and wanted to do so well for her teacher. Her teacher was leaving and going back to school. So Sweetpea wanted to make him proud of her, since this would be the last time he would be her teacher, by performing excellently at her recital. She felt she failed, but I was never so proud of her and told her so. She stuck with it. Never gave up. She never ran from the stage crying in embarrassment. She handled herself beautifully and once she had her sheet music she played it perfectly.
At the end of the recital we were also pleasantly surprised because her teacher presented her with a card and flowers to note that she was his most outstanding student for the year. He congratulated her on all her hard work and all her improvement throughout the year. We were all surprised and even more proud of her. We had no idea or heads-up that she was going to receive this. Sweetpea was in shock when she went up, but happily surprised.
Have a happy Monday!

I'm so happy that it worked out well in the end. It can be so painful to be a mother sometimes. I can only imagine how you wanted to rescue her. I would have felt the same.
