Some are Good and Some are Not So Good

That's what happens when you take part in events. Well, not really an event, but more like renting space at a location. I have been at this same place 3 times. The first was great. The second slow, but did OK in sales and yesterday, which was my third time, not so great. Although there seemed to be lots of traffic and a lot of people looking, they just weren't buying. You just can't predict these things, but I think I figured out that the end of the week is better than the beginning. People are just more in a buying mood on Thursdays and Fridays than Mondays and Tuesdays. I think that goes, not just for me, but everyone. Have you ever gone into a grocery store or the mall on a Monday or Tuesday? Very quite, hardly anyone there. Why is that? I think everyone is recouping from the weekend. The end of the week people are starting to unwind and beginning to think of the weekend. Usually payday is on a Thursday or Friday, so people feel they have money to spend.

So even though I didn't make a lot of sales yesterday, I don't mind going because it gives me exposure and I have even gotten some cold calls from it. Nothing fruitful, yet. I am hopeful, but some days I am not always so hopeful. Sometimes I wonder why I am doing this to constantly be beaten down. It always seems that others are more successful and I wonder, what are they doing that I am not? Everyone that sees my products LLLOOOVEES it! They actually go gaga for it. So why? What am I doing wrong? If I made as many sales as I have handed out business cards, I would be dancing in the streets. That's another thing. I chat to people, they tell me their story. They tell me they love my stuff, tell me they are going to needs gifts for whatever and then I never hear from them. But one day right?! They will be digging in their purse for something and they will come across my card and remember that they needed to call me... and darn it, my phone will ring! It will, won't it? I am always hoping.

your phone will ring. some day you'll think back and wonder what it was like when it was "quiet."
