Lots to Tell You

I have been putting this off forever, but Blogger finally got me. A couple of days ago it made me change over to the new Blogger. I don't see anything really different, other than a few minor things that have been added and it says if I want to customize I have to upgrade my template and that I will lose some changed info that I have added but "don't worry, they save my original." Some how that doesn't console me into believing everything will be alright, so it ain't chang'en. I have already been having trouble logging on... it just won't. I think it has something to do with cookies, but I found a way around it and beat the system.

Anyway, on to more interesting things.

Last week was busy and successful. I got a lot of sewing done - client orders and new projects. A lot of things that I wanted to get to and successfully completed. I met with a bookkeeper and she has lifted that dark cloud from over my head. I am finally on the road to organized books .... yyyahhh! I have booked a kiosk to sell at the end of February and have an interested party in hosting a private sale event. I have listed a couple more things in my etsy shop... with more to come. By the way, did you get a chance to go over there and look? What did you think?

On the weekend, I purchased a new helper. Let me introduce you to...... Quinn

Undressed...aaahhh!

Dressed.... ah, much better!

I have been wanting one of these for quite some time. I think it is just a great way to show off clothes - better than just hanging off a hanger. It really gives you a feel as to how it would look on a person. So hopefully with Quinn by my side modeling my wears it will entice people to love it more and hence -buy. By the way, did you get the "Quinn" part? You know Mannequin...haha yes, no?!

I have a lot of introducing to do in this post. My next introduction is the Baby Loader. This is one of the designs I have been working on. Now I know this is not new,
but I have taken a different take on it. I had a few people before Christmas, when I was at my sales, asking for something that could hold "baby stuff", but wasn't a diaper bag. They already had their own bag and didn't want to use a "diaper bag" per say, but wanted something to organize, keep separate and to hold their "baby stuff" in. So after thinking about it and asking some moms what they thought and of course surfing the web.... I came up with this:

Now a lot of you are going to say Purse Organizer... and yes you are correct. However, I have changed the dimensions, added a pleat at the bottom to expand the pockets and added a flap, so that it can accommodate diapers, wipes, burp cloth/bib, bottle, small toy, pacifier and of course a few things for mom - keys, cell phone, pen/lipstick. So far, this is going to be the large or deluxe model. I also plan on making a medium and a small version. Once I get them all made, I plan to offer them in my etsy shop.

I am also going to start offering these.... diaper pouches. I have asked a few moms and they think they are great! So the need/want is there and I always like to find out what people are looking for. I think it is the best way to market... give the people what they want.

The next item is the lavender drawer liners and closet sachets(not shown).
Lavender is such a wonderful scent and so therapeutic to the senses, I just could not not make these. You will be able to open up your drawers and your closet and have this wonderful aroma float up and tickle your nose. If you are having trouble drifting off to sleep, you could even put the liner under your pillow. Studies have shown that lavender is an aid to sleep and relaxation and to also relieve stress and headaches.

Next item. This is something I am really quite excited about... "The Sydney Handbag Collection"
With weddings and special occasions that always happen in those seasons - I think it is going to be a great seller and handbag for spring and summer. This is going to be a wonderful handbag to carry and complete a special outfit. The fabrics and colours are going to be available in breathtaking pinks, greys, yellows, cream, to name a few and so lush in natural and synthetic silks.

These will be available in my etsy shop also.
Happy shopping!

Here are a few more things I have been working on....

a medium size tote in KoHanna Cocoa with a button closure.

and a small diaper bag.

See, I told you I have been busy and this isn't even the half of it.

Geesh! You have been a busy lady!

Now that you have the new blogger, are you going to make that banner? :-)

I like the diaper bag organizer doo-dad. I think it would be a good seller. So many people (me included) hate to carry a diaper bag, but need to have the goods closeby. Good idea!

I just recently found a pattern for the diaper/wipe holder. It's in my to-do pile.
