Before I speak about the letter "J", I need to talk about the last post.
It was Delurk Week and I asked you to delurk and the only people that did were the people that weren't lurking in the first place. (thank you to them) I don't understand... Simple Sparrow joined the delurking week and she got 67 responses. OK people....what is up with that?? Now you are starting to give me a complex. Am I that scary or seem that unapproachable...what?, what?.... what is it? I know you are out there. I see you on my meter and there must be something interesting you like because you continually come back. Call me curious - but, I. just. want. to. know. So, now that I got that off my chest...onto the letter "J".
I have been busy sewing this week and last. Trying to come up with some new designs and also to finish off orders I have. One of them being an "Initial It" purse. The woman that ordered it saw the ones I made at one of the craft shows and wanted one. Usually, the initials are made from felt and sewn on, but she wanted red and she liked the red fabric that I used on the butterfly tote, so I ended up having to applique it on. I also make the purse out of a heavyweight denim, but she wanted a denser looking black, so I changed that fabric too.... it's all about pleasing the client and I was more than happy to do so.
The handles are made from KuKui nuts. For those of you who don't know what they are they are actual nuts grown on trees in Hawaii.
As for the other projects I have been working on, nothing yet to show, hopefully soon, though.

I like the shape of the of "J." And the bag looks great, too.
I just saw some initialed tote bags on a blog. I don't think it was a blog that I regularly read, so I don't know where I saw it. But I really like the idea.
And I don't know what to say about the lurkers. I have my share, too. I wanted to do the de-lurking thing, but never got around to it.
I don't know what the deal is with commenters, don't let it get you down. I know I'm guilty of not commenting as much as I should. I tend to be quiet and more of a listener by nature and I think I am the same way with blogs, reading = listening and not necessarily commenting because I don't feel like I have anything interesting enough to add.
The initial bag is very pretty. Have you seen the handles that are a combination of fabric and beads? I'd love to try that but I'm not quite sure how it's done.
One more thing, I have you on my bloglines but for some reason your updates dont show up and I don't know how to fix it. That's why I'm usually a couple of days late reading your posts.
